Last week ThoughtForm had the great pleasure of interacting with Robert Morris University design students on two occasions.

On Wednesday, ThoughtForm hosted 30 students for portfolio reviews and studio tour. John Sotirakis, strategist and designer, said “As I continue to serve on the Advisory Board for RMU’s design program, I’m looking for ways to expose the students to professional practices and real-world design problems. I think the seniors’ field trip to ThoughtForm was an eye-opener for the kids. We gave them some solid advice for improving their portfolios. In turn, we saw some amazing work and tons of potential.”

And on Thursday, Lindsay Quinter, strategist and designer, spoke on the Creativity at Work panel, hosted at RMU. The panel gave RMU students an opportunity to hear from area professionals about what it’s like to work in the field and get some tips to help them prepare for the job searching process.RMU Creativity at Work panel

After the event, Lindsay said “I make time to support students on their career journey because I remember being in their position and I can imagine how helpful it would have been for me. This is an ever-changing field with a lot of options. It’s not easy to navigate when you’re also balancing the demands of a rigorous educational curriculum. These are smart, bright, and passionate people that will become the future of our industry. I want to do my part to give them the direction and insight they need to make good decisions and propel forward.”
