Aaron Greider joins ThoughtForm for Spring 2021
ThoughtForm is happy to welcome Aaron Greider from the University of Cincinnati as an intern for Spring 2021. Aaron recently shared with us a bit about his interest in technology and design, some of his favorite design work, and a fresh music tip or two.
Tell us a little bit about your background.
What’s an example of a design you admire today?
I’m a huge fan of classic Swiss Punk typography like Wolfgang Weingart, and more recently from an Amsterdam design company called Experimental Jetset. New machine learning algorithms from Google Deepdream onward have been used to create some incredible and cerebral art by Mario Klingemann (Quasimondo) as well as data-driven digital sculptures from Refik Anadol.
What led you to an internship with ThoughtForm?
At my previous internships I’ve gotten lots of experience in environmental and print design content creation—which was very informative—and I’d like to see another angle of content creation from the perspective of strategy. I’m very excited to see what ThoughtForm is all about!
Who’s currently on your work playlist?
My favorite right now is The Garden. I always love listening to Tobacco and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, with a couple songs from Ween thrown in there. If I want something easy to listen to, I love Peripheral Vision by Turnover.
